10 November 2011: Seminar and network dinner 

The SweCha and Rotterdam School of Management organized a Seminar and Network Dinner. Keynote speaker was Mr. Stefano Puntoni, Marketing Management dept. Assistant Professor RSM.

27 October 2011: PwC company presentation

PwC welcomed the members of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, JCC, Danish Dutch Business Club and the Finnish Dutch Trade Guild to an interesting evening about PwC and their view on the current economic situation in the Netherlands. How is our economy doing?

12th September 2011: Back to Business cocktail
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce organised a Nordic 'Back to Business' cocktail on Monday 12th September. Honorary guest and keynote speaker was Mr. Christer Fuflesang, Astronaut at the European Space Agency.

6th - 7th September 2011: Helsinki trip & Football match Finland - Netherlands

The 1st FDTG event abroad organized in cooperation with our members Finnair, Voigt Travel and KONE. We watched the football match Finland - Netherlands on Tuesday 6th and next day we went to the international KONE test center in Tytyri. Back on Vantaa Airport Finnair gave a short company presentation.

25th June 2011: Juhannus / Midsummer

Also this year, our member Mr. Klaas van Donderen (Suomen Log House) organized  a Juhannus party in Harkstede again. The other location was of course the Seamen's Mission in Rotterdam. This event was a joined effort of the FDTG, the Vereniging Nederland-Finland and the Seamen's Mission.

16th June 2011: FDTG Herring Party

The most traditional FDTG event was also this year on the agenda. And for the third time in a row our member Rokade Advies hosted this event. There was some rain but we enjoyed the magnificant views of the Rotterdam skyline and the Nieuwe haring!

24 May 2011: The SAAB Challenge Trophy 2011
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Golf Day has become a popular tradition and a wonderful opportunity to invite your valued customers to a day of Swedish fun, hospitality and sportsmanship and at the same time create new links between Nordic and Dutch enterprises. Venue: Golfclub De Hoge Kleij in Leusden.

1st May 2011: Vappu

The FDTG and the VNF organized a Vappu picnic at the Vondelpark, Amsterdam. The picnic started at 12:00 hrs. Members and non-members were equally welcome to this relaxed activity. The picnic took place in the southern end of the Vondelpark in Amsterdam.

27th April 2011: Seminar with Prof. dr. ir. Eric van Heck and Network Dinner

The SweCha and the R'dam School of Management organized a seminar about 'Business Networks'. Keynote Speaker was Prof.dr.ir. Eric van Heck, Professor of Information Management & MarketsDepartment of Decision and Information Sciences. Venue: R'dam School of Management,  Burg. Oudlaan 50, Rotterdam

15th April 2011: Karita Mattila in De Doelen

The influential BBC Music Magazine counts her among the 20 best sopranos of the past 100 years. The NY Times highlighted her bright and bold, captivating lyricism and pure sensual splendor. On 15th of April Karita Mattila performed in De Doelen together with the R'dam Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor Mr. Jukka-Pekka Saraste.

08th April 2011: Master Class Luncheon with Mr. Jeroen van der Veer

The Swedish Chamber organized a Nordic Business Luncheon with keynote speaker  Mr. Jeroen van der Veer, former CEO of Royal Dutch Shell.

04th April 2011: "In a better world"

Pathé Theatres and the Danish Consul in A'dam, Lauge Nielsen, invited the members of the FDTG, DDBC and SweCha for an informal private screening of the Susanne Bier film: "In a better world". Winner of a Golden Globe and an Oscar.

30th March 2011: Nordic Tax & legal seminar by Loyens & Loeff

The annual tax and legal update from SweCha member Loyens & Loeff was held at their brand new office in Rotterdam. Loyens & Loeff offers top-level legal and tax advice for international businesses, financial institutions and government bodies.

24th March 2011: Buffet dinner at the Residence and Annual General Meeting

After our AGM our prominent guest speaker, Mr. Risto Penttilä, CEO of the Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland spoke about: "Finland before pivotal parliamentary elections". After that the Ambassador offered a buffet dinner to the participants.

15th January 2011: New Year's reception

The traditional New Year's reception from the FDTG, Embassy of Finland, Seamen's Mission and the Vereniging Nederland-Finland took place at Saturday, 15th of January in the premises of the Seamen's Mission in Rotterdam. 

11th December 2010: Independence Day Dinner

The annual Independence Day Dinner was organized together with the VNF and took place in La Grande Salle from Brasserie Zalmhuis in Rotterdam. During the dinner there was live music; Pauliina May and her trio.

19th November 2010: Business Luncheon with keynote speaker Mrs Annemarie van Gaal

Mrs. Annemarie van Gaal, entrepeneur, known from the successfull introduction of several magazines and newspapers in the Russian market, and ambassador at SOS Children's Villages talked about: 'CSR new business opportunities'.

28th October 2010: Royal Gala Evening
The Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the Netherlands 50th Anniversary Royal Gala Evening in the presence of H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and H.R.H. The Prince of Orange. Also FDTG members were invited.

30th September 2010: BFBA event in Brussels with keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Harri Kalimo

The Belgium Finnish Business Association organized an event with keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Harri Kalimo. FDTG members could attend this meeting.

28th September 2010: Master Class Luncheon with Mr. Mikael Ohlsson

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce organized a Master Class Luncheon with key-note speaker and honorary guest: Mr. Mikael Ohlsson, CEO Ikea Group of Companies.

07 September 2010: EURO 2012 qualifying match Netherlands - Finland

Finland and The Netherlands are playing in the same group during the qualifying round of EURO 2012. The FDTG offered, in cooperation with OAD an interesting hospitality arrangement.

26th June 2010: Midsummer

During a very nice Dutch summer evening we celebrated a traditional Finnish Juhannus party at two locations.  On both locations we had barbeque, drinks, sauna and Finnish music.

10th June 2010: Herring party

The traditional FDTG Herring party was sponsored and hosted by our member Rokade Advies B.V. So while enjoying the first Herring we could watch the impressive skyline of Rotterdam.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce organized the last Master Class Luncheon of this season. Keynote speaker and Honorary Guest will be Mr. Victor R. Muller, CEO of Spyker Cars.

01st June 2010: Golf Tournament

The SweCha celebrated a sportive golfing day where members of the Nordic business clubs were welcome. This event has become a popular tradition and a wonderful opportunity to experience a day of Swedish fun and hospitality.

25th May 2010: Presentation New Wave Group

The SweCha organized an inspiring afternoon with Mr. Torsten Jansson, Man. Dir. & CEO New Wave Group, a growth company that designs, acquires and develops brands and products in the corporate promotion, gifts and home furnishings sectors.

20th May 2010: KONE company visit

KONE, one of the global leaders in the elevator and escalator industry, was founded in 1910 and celebrates its centennial anniversary in 2010. So, a good opportunity to organize a company visit.

01st May 2010: Vappu

Just like last year, we celebrated Vappu on a boat but this year during a 3 hour cruise in the waters of the so-called 'Groene Hart'. On board we enjoyed a huge lunch buffet with 'some' drinks. This event was organized together with the VNF.

07th April 2010: Finnish music in Concertgebouw

Markku Lepistö, one of the most respected folk accordionists in Finland performed together with Pekka Lehti who was playing double-bass.

25th March 2010: Lobbying the EU

The Belgian-Finnish Business Association organized an event about: Lobbying the  EU. So, if you always wanted to know what the thousands of lobbyists in Brussels do, and what lobbying is all about you could have learned it in this event.

19th March 2010: Nordic Master Class Luncheon

A Master Class Luncheon in view of the 50th anniversary of the Swedish Chamber. Keynote speaker was Mr. Stephen Odell, President & CEO of Volvo Cars who spoke about "The future of the car industry - challenges & opportunities for Volvo Cars".

24th February 2010: Annual General Meeting with keynote speaker Mr. Ilkka Harju

After the Annual General Meeting our keynote speaker, Mr. Ilkka Harju, Senior Counsellor from the Finnish Ministry of Finance spoke about the economic situation in Finland. The event was closed with a Buffet Dinner.

18th February 2010: Film première of 'Prisoners of the Ground

How to survive the dark Finnish winter? In the film Prisoners of the Ground, Stella van Voorst van Beest took us on a journey through Finland to the rhythm of the Finnish tango.

14th February 2010: WF Bach - Genius and Virtuoso

A classical concert with the New Dutch Academy Chamber Soloists, featuring Finnish baroque violin virtuoso Aira-Maria Lehtipuu. Presented in association with the Embassy of Finland.

04th February 2010: FDTG Young Professionals Opening event with Janne Kyttänen

The first Young Professionals event was built around a truly Finnish topic: design. Our key speaker was Amsterdam based Janne Kyttänen, Founder and Creative Director of Freedom Of Creation where cutting edge technology meets design.  2007.

17th January 2010: New Year's reception
